Sex workers display photos

JAKARTA (JP): A display of photographs taken by sex workers
will be held tomorrow to Dec 5 at the Galeri Foto Jurnalistik
Antara in Central Jakarta.

The display, organized by the Kusuma Buana Foundation which
focuses on health, is an extension of a similar event held last
month in the Ancol Dreamland, North Jakarta.

The 15 photographers are members of a group called
Bandungwangi, which promotes HIV/AIDS awareness.

The coming display on Jl. Antara 59, Pasar Baru, will be
opened by psychologist Saparinah Sadli. Saparinah also heads the
Womens' Studies Center at the University of Indonesia.

A discussion on the 70 works, held on Nov. 30 at 2 p.m., will
feature Saparinah and Bandungwangi member, Anna S. (anr)
