Sex tour operator blacklisted

MANILA (AFP): The Philippines' authorities yesterday
blacklisted a United States national accused of arranging sex
tours to the country.

Immigration Commissioner Edgar Mendoza said in a statement
Norman Barabash had been barred from entering the Philippines
after the Department of Foreign Affairs informed them of his
alleged activities.

He said that Barabash reportedly owns the New York-based Big
Apple Oriental Tours which a U.S. women's organization, Equality
Now, alleged has been advertising sex tours to the Philippines.

The agency reportedly advertises that for US$2,195, a customer
can avail of a round-trip ticket and a 12-night stay in the
northern Philippine city of Angeles, close to the former U.S.
Clark Air Base. Potential customers are also promised they can
choose their own sexual partners, including young children.
