Sex, lies and not elected
Sex, lies and not elected
JAKARTA (JP): Indonesians have yet to recover from election
fever but the politicians' lies are already beginning to stink,
at least in Bengkulu.
A 22-year-old woman from Padang Ulak Tanding district has
filed a complaint with the police against two politicians failing
to honor their promise to make her a legislator in exchange for
sex.
The woman, who has no experience in politics, almost went into
orbit when a man, identified only as AAP, promised he could help
put her name on the party's list of legislative candidates.
When she saw him at a hotel in Bengkulu the next day with a
bundle of documents, she was told there was only one more
requirement she must meet: she had to sleep with him, to which
she gladly agreed.
She did not give up hope for a legislative seat when the
politician eventually confided in her that he had no authority to
put her name on the list.
So she saw one of the party's regency executives and heard the
same condition: she had to sleep with him, too. Again, she
agreed.
But she eventually screamed in anger when she knew her name
was not on the much-coveted list.
"We are collecting evidence before we can move on getting the
two politicians," chief of the local police precinct Lt. Col.
Djauhari told Antara on Tuesday.
