Severe Traffic Jam at Parungkuda Toll Gate on Bocimi Toll Road Nearly Halts Movement, Spilling onto Arterial Routes

Severe congestion occurred in the Parungkuda Toll Gate area of the Bocimi Toll Road, extending to arterial roads, on the third day of Eid al-Fitr 2026. Vehicle queues were seen snaking since morning and were nearly stationary. According to detikJabar on Monday (23/3/2026) until 10:00 WIB, the density was not only at the toll exit access but also spilled over to the arterial route. Vehicles, dominated by private cars and motorcycles, moved haltingly and were almost immobile at several points. Several vehicles appeared to have to queue for quite a long time to pass through, while officers tried to manage traffic flow amid the high volume of vehicles. The surge in public mobility during the Lebaran holiday became one of the main factors of the density. In addition, the meeting of vehicle flows from the toll road and arterial route significantly increased the traffic burden, thus triggering long congestion on several road sections in the Sukabumi area. One driver from Bogor, Andri (34), admitted to being stuck in the jam for quite a while when passing through the area. He said the vehicle movement was almost not moving at all. “From the toll exit to here it can take more than one hour, almost not moving at all. The jam is severe,” he said on the arterial road in Parungkuda, Sukabumi Regency.
