Several SPPG Kitchens in Cirebon Yet to Obtain Hygiene Sanitation Certificates

A total of 312 Nutritional Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG) in Cirebon Regency are confirmed to remain operational. Head of Public Health at the Cirebon District Health Office, Tety Rostianty, stated on Monday (3/8) that no kitchens have been ordered to cease operations. However, she revealed that 37 of the 312 SPPG kitchens have yet to obtain a Hygiene Sanitation Certificate (SLHS). The reasons include kitchens not yet being operational, the absence of a designated SPPG manager, and incomplete facilities and infrastructure according to the technical guidelines of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) and the Ministry of Health. Fulfilling the SLHS requirements is considered a crucial aspect to ensure kitchen management meets food safety and environmental health standards. The District Health Office continues to provide assistance and coordination so that all SPPG kitchens can promptly meet the administrative and technical requirements. By meeting these standards, the nutrition programme in Cirebon Regency is expected to run optimally and provide safe, quality nutritious food services to the community.
