Several rooms at the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) office have been sealed after the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) carried out a sting operation involving Secretary-General Rustian. It is not yet known which rooms were sealed by the KPK.

“There are indeed several rooms that have been sealed, perhaps so the KPK can carry out its duties and responsibilities and expedite the process. So there are several rooms, yes,” Berton SP Panjaitan, acting head of BNPB’s Centre for Disaster Data, Information and Communication, said, Antara reported on Wednesday (14 October 2026).

However, he said he could not yet specify which rooms had been sealed by the KPK. Berton also said he was unable to provide much information about the 14 people detained in the KPK sting at the BNPB office.

“As we said earlier, up to now we have not received the names of those caught in the sting,” Berton said.

Earlier, the KPK detained 14 people in a sting operation at BNPB, including its Secretary-General, Rustian.

“In this operation, the KPK team detained 14 people, including the Secretary-General,” KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo said in Yogyakarta on Tuesday (13 September).

Budi said the other 13 people comprised commitment-making officials (PPK) at BNPB and private-sector parties. The KPK is currently questioning several people caught in the operation.
