Several Roads Closed Due to Malaysian PM's Visit, Here are the Details

Jakarta - Polda Metro Jaya has announced traffic arrangements related to the visit of the Malaysian Prime Minister in Jakarta on Friday (27/3/2026). The closures are temporary and will only occur when the state guest’s vehicle convoy passes through.

The state activities are scheduled to take place from 15:30 WIB until completion at Istana Merdeka. This location is on Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara, Central Jakarta.

The Directorate of Traffic of Polda Metro Jaya mentioned several major roads that the entourage will pass through, including Jalan Halim Perdanakusuma, MT Haryono, Gatot Subroto, Sudirman, MH Thamrin, up to Medan Merdeka Barat.

Road users are urged to anticipate potential congestion on those routes. Alternative routes can be chosen to avoid travel delays.

The public is also asked to comply with instructions from officers on the ground. This measure is taken as a form of security and respect for the state guest.
