Several Points Along the Jakarta-Tangerang Toll Road Flooded After Heavy Rain

Several points along the Jakarta–Tangerang Toll Road were flooded after heavy rain drenched Jakarta and its surroundings since last night. Based on circulating video footage seen by detikcom, on Sunday, 8 March 2026, water was seen inundating the leftmost lane of the toll road, forcing vehicles to travel only in the right-hand lane. ‘Tol_Janger CAUTION at Bitung KM 25+200 – KM 25+600 towards Cikupa, there is water pooling in lanes 1-2, the outer/left-middle shoulder,’ wrote Jasa Marga in its official X post on Sunday, 8 March 2026. Flooding also inundates lanes 1 and 2 in Karawaci, specifically at Km 23–Km 24. Additionally, flooding occurred at the Bitung exit ramp at Km 26. ‘Tol_Janger CAUTION at Karawaci KM 23+500 – Bitung KM 24+000, there is water pooling in lanes 1-2, the outer/left-middle shoulder,’ wrote Jasa Marga. ‘Tol_Janger CAUTION at the Bitung exit from the direction of Kunciran/Tangerang, there is water pooling in lane 1, outer shoulder/left,’ the notice added.
