Several Party Leaders Attend the Macro-Economic Framework and Fiscal Policy Outline (KEM-PPKF) Presentation by Prabowo in Parliament

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - A number of party chairpersons attended the DPR RI plenary meeting with the agenda of presenting the Macro-Economic Framework and the Key Policies of Fiscal Policy (KEM-PPKF) for the 2027 Budget (RAPBN 2027) by the government, on Wednesday 20 May 2026.

The briefing of the macroeconomic and national fiscal policy directions will be read aloud by the President of Indonesia, who is also the General Chairman of the Gerindra Party, Prabowo Subianto.

In the Nusantara Building area of the DPR RI in Jakarta, several party chairpersons were present, although they are not members of the DPR and do not hold offices in the Merah Putih Cabinet.

In addition, several party chairmen who serve as ministers in the Merah Putih Cabinet were observed to be present.

Among them were Zulkifli Hasan, the Chairman of PAN and Coordinating Minister for Food, and Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, the Chairman of the Democratic Party and Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development.

Meanwhile, the Speaker of the DPR RI, Puan Maharani, said she attended on behalf of Megawati Soekarnoputri, the General Chairperson of PDI-P.

As of now, the DPR RI plenary session is ongoing, with the opening speech read by Puan Maharani.
