Several national figures scheduled to attend National Grand Takbir at Istiqlal

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Several state figures are scheduled to attend the National Grand Takbir Echo event held at Istiqlal Mosque as part of welcoming Eid al-Fitr on 1 Syawal 1447 Hijriah. The various state figures include DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung, State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK) Pratikno, Minister of Religious Affairs (Menag) Nasaruddin Umar, and Minister of Public Works (PU) Dody Hanggodo. The Minister of Religious Affairs of Indonesia, also the Chief Imam of Istiqlal Mosque Nasaruddin Umar in Jakarta, said on Friday that this takbir event will also be connected with grand mosques in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore (MABIMS) as well as in the Nusantara Capital (IKN). “After the Isha prayer, we will conduct the takbir echo. Insha Allah, this takbir echo will be enlivened by media colleagues as well, including Insha Allah we will connect with grand mosques throughout MABIMS. So Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, Singapore, and Indonesia. Plus IKN Mosque and several mosques connected with us,” he said. Nasaruddin explained that the takbir recitation will be led by the imam and muezzin of Istiqlal Mosque, who are known to have the best vocal quality in the country. In the series of the takbir echo, several messages from the figures, up to the beating of drums, will also be carried out to bid farewell to the holy month of Ramadan, as well as a marker for the arrival of Eid al-Fitr on 1 Syawal 1447 Hijriah. “We also hope that joining us will be the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, plus the Ministers we have invited to join us all,” said Nasaruddin Umar.
