Several Fire Spots Spotted in Tejakula Fault Hill

Several fire spots have been observed in the Bukit Sesar area, Tejakula Village, Tejakula District, Buleleng, Bali. A video showing white smoke resulting from these fire spots has gone viral on social media.

Based on the circulating video, a man shows the condition of the hill, which appears to be emitting smoke from several points. The man noted that there are multiple fire spots within the hill area.

The Head of the Buleleng Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), I Gede Suyasa, confirmed the existence of fire spots in the Tejakula Fault Hill region. As of now, the cause of these fire spots has not been identified.

“It is true, there is an incident in Tejakula Village. Currently, there are several small fire spots, but they are being monitored by residents and village authorities,” said Suyasa on Thursday (3/9/2026).

According to Suyasa, the handling of these fire spots is temporarily being managed by the Tejakula Village Government alongside local residents. He added that the Buleleng BPBD is continuously coordinating regarding the conditions at the location.

“For now, it is still being handled by the village government and residents. This is the result of coordination with the Head of Tejakula Village,” said Suyasa.

“If the number of spots increases and they grow larger, it will be reported again,” he added.
