Several airlines increase Semarang-Jakarta flight frequency
A number of airlines are increasing flight frequencies on the Semarang-Jakarta route and vice versa to provide more travel time options for prospective passengers.
General Manager of Ahmad Yani Airport Semarang, Sulistyo Yulianto, in Semarang, Central Java, on Thursday, said the airlines that have announced additional flight frequencies on the Semarang-Jakarta route are Citilink and Super Air Jet.
Citilink, he said, is increasing the number of flights from two flights a day to three flights.
“A total of 21 flights per week, effective from August,” he said.
As for Super Air Jet, he said, it is opening Jakarta-Semarang flights and vice versa, every day.
According to him, there are now more flight time options at affordable prices that are safe and comfortable for the public.
He explained that this route addition is a strategic step in strengthening air connectivity between Jakarta and the Central Java region.
In addition, he said, the availability of these daily flights also makes Ahmad Yani Airport Semarang increasingly play a role in supporting public mobility, whether for business, tourism or family visits.
He added that through this route addition, Ahmad Yani Airport Semarang continues to strive to strengthen its position as the main gateway in Central Java in boosting economic and tourism growth in Semarang City and the surrounding areas.
