Several AI platforms experienced simultaneous outages

Los Angeles (ANTARA) - ChatGPT, Claude, and Grok were among several major US-based artificial intelligence (AI) services that experienced near-simultaneous outages on Thursday local time, disrupting access for some users before the affected services recovered in the following hours.

Anthropic’s official status page showed increased request error rates for several Claude models on Thursday morning. The disruption impacted the Claude website, API, Claude Code, and Claude Cowork.

The company subsequently stated that the outage was caused by infrastructure issues, and the impact ended at 09:16 Pacific Time (23:16 WIB).

According to Xinhua, Grok, developed by SpaceXAI, also experienced disruptions at approximately the same time. The company’s status page indicated that US East and US West APIs, web and mobile services, as well as Grok on the X social media platform, were affected, with some services experiencing downtime for approximately three and a half hours.
