Seven-Year-Old Boy Missing for Two Days While Playing in Bogor’s Gunung Putri
A seven-year-old boy, Fathan Afgary, has been missing for two days in Bojong Nangka village, Gunung Putri district, Bogor, West Java. He went missing while playing.
Gunung Putri Police Chief Commissioner Hillal Adi Himawan said the boy had not returned home since Wednesday, 21 October 2026. He has yet to be found.
“The search began after the boy was reported not to have returned home after playing with his friends,” he said on Friday, 23 October 2026.
According to the family, Fathan had asked his older sibling for permission to play at the local neighbourhood association (RW) hall’s field. His sibling returned home alone.
“When their mother asked, she found that Fathan had not returned,” he added.
Hillal said the family had searched in the direction of the nearby housing complex, but their efforts had not yielded any results.
“The boy’s parents reported the incident to Bogor Police. Meanwhile, the community policing officer and residents are continuing the search and coordinating efforts to help locate him,” he said.
He urged anyone with information about the boy’s whereabouts to contact the police and expressed hope that Fathan would be found soon.
