Seven UBSI Students Secure International Internship Programme in Malaysia
Seven students from Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika (UBSI) Kaliabang have successfully secured places on an international internship programme at Holiday Inn Sepang, Malaysia. The programme, which aims to hone competencies in the global hospitality industry, will run for six months, from 1 September 2026 to 28 February 2027.
The seven selected students come from two study programmes: Hospitality and Tourism. From the Hospitality programme are Alifa Nurul Pasya and Ola Zafira. From the Tourism programme, the successful students are Emersiana Putri Talo, Fenella Julya Aziahra, Muhammad Dava Alfarizi, Rifqi Muhammad Ihsan, and Syifana Mutiara Salsabila.
During their six months in Malaysia, they will learn directly in an internationally standardised work environment. The programme is designed to sharpen technical skills, professional communication, cross-cultural adaptation, and the formation of a global mindset.
Head of the UBSI Hospitality Study Programme, Dyah Mustika Wardani, welcomed the students’ achievement positively. She said that an overseas internship experience provides valuable added benefits for students’ future career preparation.
“We are certainly proud of the opportunity the students have secured. The internship experience at Holiday Inn Sepang in Malaysia is expected to enhance their competence and professionalism, while also providing direct understanding of international hospitality industry work standards,” Dyah said in a press release in Jakarta on Wednesday (19/8/2026).
Head of the UBSI International Affairs Office, Jimmi, explained that student involvement in this programme is part of the university’s commitment to expanding international exposure.
“This programme is not merely an opportunity to work abroad, but also a learning process for students to build independence, professionalism, adaptability, and global insight. We hope this experience will become an important foundation for them when they enter the workforce later,” Jimmi said.
Through the implementation of this international internship programme, UBSI, as a Creative Digital Campus, hopes to encourage other students to dare to seize opportunities at the global level. This step also reinforces the university’s commitment to producing competent graduates with international competitiveness.
