Seven State-Owned Logistics Firms Merge Under Single Entity PT Multi Terminal Indonesia
Seven state-owned enterprises in the logistics sector have officially merged and joined under one entity, through the signing of a Shareholder Agreement and a Consolidation Merger Deed. Steering Committee Chairman of the PMO for State-Owned Logistics Consolidation, Daud Joseph, stated that PT Multi Terminal Indonesia, as the surviving entity, will serve as the vehicle for the seven companies during the transition period. “So the name is the surviving entity or one entity that survives. So, the surviving entity that will remain is PT Multiterminal Indonesia,” Daud said in his statement on Tuesday, 30 June 2026. He detailed that the seven logistics companies are Pelindo Sinergi Lokaseva Multiterminal Indonesia, Pelindo Sinergi Lokaseva Prima Indonesia Logistik, Pos Logistics, Pelni Logistics, PT Kawasan Berikat Nusantara, PT Varia Usaha Dharma Segara, and Krakatau Integrated Logistics. During this transition period, the merged companies will carry out an integration process covering operational, legal, financial, and governance aspects before entering the final transaction stage. Daud stated that the merger of the seven state-owned logistics companies is the initial step in the national logistics consolidation by Danantara Asset Management. The goal is to build a more efficient and integrated logistics ecosystem in Indonesia. “This is in line with the government’s vision and mission to achieve effectiveness and efficiency in the country’s logistics processes. From the state-owned enterprise side, Danantara wants these seven companies to become one, and today that has begun to be implemented,” Daud said. Daud Joseph, who is also the President Director of PT Pos Indonesia, expressed hope that the unification of these seven companies will provide direct benefits so that the national logistics sector can develop more efficiently. “The benefit we all hope for as a nation is that the consolidated logistics company can possess all the required features, so that a single entity can carry out various logistics functions,” Daud said. “From there, efficiency will occur, with more efficient pricing, because it is no longer multiple companies,” he stated.
