Seven Parking Areas for Eid al-Adha Worshippers at Jakarta's Istiqlal Mosque

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Seven parking areas have been arranged around Istiqlal Mosque to accommodate vehicles for Eid al-Adha worshippers on Wednesday, 27 May 2026.

Minister of Religious Affairs (Menag) Nasaruddin Umar stated that Istiqlal Mosque will host the national-level Eid al-Adha prayer for 1447 Hijriah starting at 7:00 AM WIB.

“Islamic Eid al-Adha prayers can be attended by the general public while adhering to order, comfort, and applicable health protocols,” Nasaruddin said at Istiqlal Mosque, Jakarta, on Monday, 25 May 2026.

• Pertamina parking area (400 cars)

• Ministry of Religious Affairs parking area (150 to 200 cars)

• Banteng Square parking area (200 cars)

• Jakarta Cathedral parking area (200 motorcycles)

• Post Office parking area (200 cars)

• Indonesian Army Building rear parking area (100 cars)

This year’s Eid al-Adha sermon theme is ‘Strengthening the Spirit of Sacrifice, Caring for Nature and Humanity’.

The Eid al-Adha prayer at Istiqlal Mosque will be led by Ahmad Anshoruddin Ibrahim, with Muzakkir Abdurahman serving as the deputy imam.

Meanwhile, entrance points for the mosque during Eid al-Adha prayers on Wednesday will be divided into two categories. Pedestrians will enter via Al-Fattah gate (opposite Jakarta Cathedral), As-Salam 1 and As-Salam 2 (opposite Juanda Bus Stop). Private vehicle users will enter via Al-Aziz and Al-Mukmin gates (opposite SMPN 4 Jakarta) to park in the mosque’s basement.
