East Ciputat Police have stepped up security during Ramadan 2026 by establishing monitoring posts aimed at anticipating street brawls, which remain a key public order concern during the holy month.

“We are committed to zero brawls in the Ciputat and East Ciputat areas. In accordance with agreements reached with the sub-district head and the local military district commander, we have set up monitoring posts at seven locations,” said East Ciputat Police Chief Kompol Bambang Askar Sodiq in a statement on Thursday (19 February 2026).

Bambang said the monitoring posts are also intended to prevent other disturbances such as illegal street racing and sahur on the road (SOTR) gatherings.

“The establishment of monitoring posts serves as a form of surveillance and anticipation against brawls and street crime during the month of Ramadan, ensuring the period proceeds safely, orderly, and in a conducive manner,” he explained.

With the monitoring posts in place, East Ciputat Police have pledged to enhance security to guarantee that Muslims can observe the fasting period in peace. Bambang also urged the public to report any public order disturbances to the National Police call centre on 110.

The seven monitoring post locations are as follows:

  1. Jombang Sub-district Monitoring Post
  2. Sawah Lama Sub-district Monitoring Post
  3. Rempoa Sub-district Monitoring Post
  4. Cipayung Sub-district Monitoring Post
  5. Pisangan Sub-district Monitoring Post
  6. Pondok Ranji Sub-district Monitoring Post
  7. Ciputat Sub-district Monitoring Post
