Seven ministers signed a Joint Decree (SKB) establishing guidelines for the utilisation and learning of digital technology and artificial intelligence in formal, non-formal, and informal educational settings on Thursday, 12 March 2026.

The signatories included Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno, Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian, Minister of Basic and Secondary Education Abdul Mu’ti, Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar, Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid, Minister of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection Arifah Fauzi, and Minister of Population and Family Development Wihaji.

The joint decree aims to support advanced and robust education that develops children academically, mentally, and morally through the strategic integration of digital technologies and artificial intelligence across all educational channels in Indonesia. The agreement was signed at the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture office in Jakarta.
