Seven hospitals ready for APEC
The City Health Office has appointed seven hospitals in Jakarta to serve the delegates of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum.
The Jayakarta daily reported yesterday that the seven medical facilities in Jakarta are Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital, Harapan Kita Cardiac Hospital, Medistra Hospital, Pertamina Hospital, MMC Hospital and Gatot Subroto Hospital.
The head of the health office, Soeharto, also said that the Indonesian Red Cross Hospital in Bogor, West Java, is ready to serve the APEC delegations during their visit there.
Soeharto said that his office also has assigned a number of doctors to standby at the Jakarta Hilton Convention Center, the Century Park Hotel, the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport and the Halim Perdanakusuma Airport.
Soeharto explained that the APEC organizing committee has assigned Dr. Adid Yahya, the Jakarta Military Command Health Chief, as the head of food security for APEC. (mas)
