Jakarta (ANTARA) - Actor and screenwriter Seth Rogen has criticised writers who use artificial intelligence (AI) in creating scripts.

According to Deadline on Saturday (16/5), the two-time Golden Globe winner called content created using AI ‘dogshit’ and said that people who use AI in writing ‘should not be writers’.

‘If your instinct is to use AI and not go through the process, you shouldn’t be a writer. Because you are not writing. Do something else,’ he said.

‘The idea of a tool making me write less does not appeal to me, because I like to write,’ he added.

Seth Rogen made these comments while discussing his new animated film, ‘Tangles’, which he is working on with his wife, Lauren Millen Rogen.

Seth Rogen, who is also a producer and star of the film ‘Tangles’, said that he is proud that his new animated film was not created using AI.

‘This is hand-drawn animation. Every frame has a human touch, which is great,’ said Seth Rogen, who co-founded the non-profit organisation Hilarity for Charity with his wife.

The film ‘Tangles’ premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in France on Friday (15/5) and received a warm response from audiences.

Miller Rogen, whose late mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, said that the film ‘spoke to me in a very sincere and profound way’.
