Seruni KMP Chair Calls for Stronger Collaboration to Improve Welfare in NTT
The Chair of Solidarity of Women for Indonesia (Seruni) within the Red and White Cabinet (KMP), Tri Tito Karnavian, has invited various parties to strengthen collaboration in supporting the improvement of community welfare in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). According to her, synergy between the central government, regional governments, women’s organisations, the business sector, and the community is key to ensuring that development programmes can provide broader and sustainable benefits. This was conveyed by Tri while attending the inauguration of clean water facilities and piping lines, as well as the handover of various aid for the community at Enokaka State Primary School (SDN), Sillu Village, Kupang Regency, NTT, on Monday (22/6/2026). In her remarks, Tri expressed appreciation to all parties involved in organising the event. She noted that the collaboration established between various agencies and partners has delivered tangible benefits to the community, particularly in meeting basic needs and improving quality of life. “We can obtain extraordinary benefits from the collaboration of various agencies, both central and regional,” she said, as quoted on Tuesday, 23 June 2026. Tri explained that Seruni KMP is a platform that brings together the spouses of Red and White Cabinet members to support various government programmes through social activities and community empowerment. Therefore, the implementation of Seruni’s programmes always prioritises cooperation with various parties to reach the community more widely and effectively. She expressed hope that the spirit of mutual cooperation and collaboration can continue to be strengthened, including with regional governments and women’s organisations in various areas. “Hopefully we can also work together with regional governments in the future, and of course with women’s organisations in the regions,” she said. Tri’s arrival and her entourage at SDN Enokaka was warmly welcomed with the draping of traditional cloth and a welcoming dance. The event then continued with a handwashing with soap practice alongside the students as part of education on clean and healthy living. On that occasion, Seruni KMP together with partners handed over various aid, including basic food packages, school supplies, packages from the Movement to Popularise Eating Fish (Gemarikan), aid for persons with disabilities, and assistance for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the form of weaving machines. Additionally, a mockup of a borehole well aid, the construction of handwashing stations in the school environment, and tree seedling planting were also carried out.
