Series of Explosions Heard Again in Qatar's Capital

A series of explosions were heard in Qatar’s capital, Doha. The explosions occurred following Iran’s announcement that it would continue retaliatory attacks across the Gulf region.

According to reports from news agencies AFP and Al Jazeera on Monday, 9 March 2026, AFP correspondents confirmed that several explosions were heard in Doha on the day in question local time.

Doha has become a target of waves of drone and missile strikes since Iran launched a major retaliatory campaign across the Gulf following attacks by the United States and Israel against the Islamic Republic.

Qatar has also issued warnings regarding escalated threats in its territory. Qatar’s Interior Ministry has urged residents to remain indoors due to heightened security threats.
