Seribu Islands Government Promotes Free Building Design Service to Residents

The Seribu Islands Government, through its Investment Management and One-Stop Integrated Service Unit (UP PMPTSP), is conducting door-to-door outreach on Pramuka Island, North Seribu Islands, to socialise a free technical drawing design service for both licensing and non-licensing purposes. “This free service refers to the Decree of the Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial PMPTSP Service Number e-0017 of 2025,” said Head of the Seribu Islands UP PMPTSP, Wachid Wahyudi, in Jakarta on Friday. He explained that the direct approach to residents’ homes was taken to ensure the community gains a thorough understanding of the service, which can be utilised at no cost. According to him, the activity aims to provide information on application procedures, requirements, and the utilisation of the technical drawing design service. “This is important to support a more orderly, easy, and compliant building permit process in accordance with applicable regulations,” Wachid stated. He noted that the socialisation is focused on educating residents, particularly those planning new builds or home renovations. “So, the community can obtain technical drawing design services free of charge as one of the main requirements for processing both licensing and non-licensing documents,” Wachid said, addressing the difficulties residents face when trying to manage building permit documents. “The residents’ response was very positive; they feel greatly assisted by this new free programme provided by the Seribu Islands Regency PTSP. They no longer need to be confused about providing technical documents,” Wachid revealed. Furthermore, he expressed hope that the people of the Seribu Islands would utilise the service optimally, thereby increasing awareness of the importance of technical documents in permit applications. “Hopefully, this innovation will provide broad benefits and simplify the process of obtaining orderly house construction permits in the Seribu Islands region,” Wachid concluded. Meanwhile, Pramuka Island resident Paryo (56) said the programme provides convenience for the community planning to build or renovate homes. “We feel very helped by this free technical drawing design service. Besides saving costs, we also receive clear information regarding permit requirements, making it easier when we want to build or renovate a house,” said Paryo.
