Serasan PLBN Port Records 1,181 Returnees Beginning to Arrive
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Serasan Border Crossing Post (PLBN) has recorded 1,181 Lebaran returnees beginning to arrive at the PLBN Serasan Port in Natuna Regency, Riau Islands, during the Eid al-Fitr homecoming period.
The Head of PLBN Serasan, Wendriady, stated in a press release received in Jakarta on Friday that the returnees originate from Pontianak City and the Natuna Island region, utilising sea transportation to return to their hometowns.
“During the period from 16 to 18 March 2026, the number of arrivals recorded totals 1,181 people. The breakdown consists of 586 men, 409 women, and 186 children. They arrived by ship from Pontianak and Natuna,” Wendriady said.
According to Wendriady, sea transportation activities at PLBN Serasan Port during that period were fluctuating. On 16 March 2026, the port handled one motorboat arrival. Subsequently, on 17 March 2026, one motorboat arrival and two ship departures were recorded. Meanwhile, on 18 March 2026, there was no shipping activity at PLBN Serasan Port.
Furthermore, Wendriady added that his team continues to monitor and coordinate across agencies to ensure all activities in the PLBN Serasan area run optimally.
“We are committed to maintaining services, security, and order in the PLBN Serasan area during the 2026 Lebaran holiday period. Coordination with related agencies continues to anticipate potential surges in activity ahead of the festive day,” he stated.
With the readiness of personnel and strengthened cross-agency coordination, he is confident that the PLBN Serasan team can ensure the 2026 Lebaran homecoming flow proceeds safely, orderly, and smoothly.
