Serang Police Arrest Motorcycle Thief and Drug Dealer in Single Operation
The Serang City Police (Polresta Serang Kota) arrested a man suspected of motorcycle theft (curanmor) in Kramatwatu District, Serang Regency. The suspect, identified as RR (20), also operates as a distributor of crystal methamphetamine (sabu).
According to Kramatwatu Police Chief Kompol Bai Ma’mun, the public filed a police report on 13 February 2026 regarding the motorcycle theft case. Police subsequently moved to the scene and apprehended RR near Pamidangan, Unyur Village, Serang City.
“The team proceeded to the location and successfully apprehended the suspect RR. During the arrest, officers also discovered narcotics evidence in the form of crystal methamphetamine weighing 20 grams, which the suspect acknowledged as his own,” said Bai on Monday (2 March 2026).
Following further investigation, police successfully apprehended another suspect identified as FR (22). Both suspects have committed multiple crimes within Kramatwatu Police jurisdiction.
“Both suspects have admitted to committing motorcycle theft offences within Kramatwatu Police jurisdiction across 16 separate crime scenes,” he stated.
Additionally, six other individuals are on the Police Wanted List (DPO), identified as HI, BS, RN, ST, AN, and TK. The identities of these wanted suspects have been documented and police continue pursuit operations.
Police secured two motorcycles—one belonging to the victim and another used as a means of theft. A T-shaped key used by the perpetrators to damage and steal victim motorcycles was also recovered.
“Along with crystal methamphetamine weighing 20 grams. We have handed this over to the Serang City Police Narcotics Unit for narcotics case proceedings,” he added.
For their actions, the suspects face charges under Article 477 of the Criminal Code with a maximum prison sentence of nine years.
