In support of smooth Lebaran homecoming and return traffic flows in 2026, PT Wijaya Karya Serang Panimbang will operate Section 2 of the Rangkas-Cileles segment of the Serang-Panimbang toll road free of charge. This operational activation will run for 15 days, from 7 days before to 7 days after Lebaran 2026, specifically from 12-26 March 2026, daily from 07:00-17:00 WIB.

The operational activation of Section 2 is intended to enhance regional connectivity whilst facilitating access to various premier tourism destinations in Banten Province, particularly the Lebak region and surroundings such as Sawarna Beach, Baduy Village, Bayah Dome Geopark, and further access to Tanjung Lesung and Banten’s southern coastline.

During the operational period, this segment will be reserved exclusively for Class I vehicles. Road users will continue to pay only the Section 1 toll rate, meaning there will be no additional charges for traversing the activated Section 2 of the Serang-Panimbang toll road.

The Chief Executive Director of PT Wijaya Karya Serang Panimbang stated that this operational activation represents the company’s readiness to support public mobility during the Lebaran period.

“We are committed to providing the best service for road users. This Section 2 activation is hoped to help reduce traffic congestion and facilitate smooth vehicle flow during the Lebaran homecoming and return period in 2026,” he said in a written statement on Monday, 2 March 2026.

Furthermore, PT Wijaya Karya Serang Panimbang has ensured that all safety aspects, traffic signs, and operational arrangements have been optimally prepared and will coordinate with relevant parties to ensure smooth implementation in the field.

With the activation of the Rangkas-Cileles Section 2, accessibility to southern Banten is expected to increase significantly whilst providing a more comfortable travel experience during the 2026 Lebaran period. The Serang-Panimbang toll road is part of the toll network connected to the Trans-Java toll system, linking Jakarta-Serang to Pandeglang, and is expected to drive economic growth and tourism development in Banten, particularly in the central and southern regions.
