Serang City Government and China's Weifang Explore "Sister City" Cooperation
Serang - The Serang City Government, Banten, received a visit from a delegation of the Weifang City Government, Shandong Province, China, to explore opportunities for a twin city (sister city) cooperation focused on the investment, education, and industrial zone development sectors.
Serang Mayor Budi Rustandi, in Serang on Thursday, stated that this meeting is part of efforts to strengthen inter-city and inter-country relations facilitated by the central government.
“Today, we can receive them directly and continue with discussions on potential cooperation, both in investment and education, including scholarships for undergraduate students to lecturers,” he said.
He explained that all cooperation opportunities discussed will be studied more deeply by the relevant regional apparatus. This is done so that the cooperation plans can be adjusted to the conditions and real needs of the Serang City community.
Meanwhile, Director of Rising Capital Roden Xue Ruiteng conveyed that this investment plan is still in the early exploration stage and will be initiated through the sister city scheme.
“The amount of investment value has not yet been determined because it is still awaiting the results of further technical discussions with the Serang City Government,” he said.
The companies included in the delegation’s entourage come from various sectors, ranging from information technology, law, banking, infrastructure, education, to property.
