In collaboration with the Bank Indonesia (BI) Banten Representative Office and Perum Damri, the Banten Provincial Government has officially launched a special cultural tourism bus service to Badui. For a certain period, the route will implement a promotion of Rp1 fare using QRIS tap payment method.

Banten Governor Andra Soni stated that this breakthrough is a response to the high interest from the public in visiting the Badui adat area. Through this collaboration, it is hoped that the public can enjoy a very affordable promotional fare.

“Thanks to the support from BI Banten and Perum Damri, we are launching QRIS tap for the Badui cultural tourism transport from Serang to Ciboleger. For the next month, the public only needs to pay Rp1 using QRIS,” said Governor Andra at the Serang City Square, Banten, on Sunday (26/4/2026).

He explained that this service is a continuation of the integrated public transport programme TransBanten, which is currently operational. The Banten Provincial Government also plans to develop similar services for other tourist areas in Banten to provide mobility comfort for the public.

The utilisation of this digital payment system is supported by the high penetration of QRIS users in the region. According to Andra, out of a total of 60 million QRIS users nationwide, 3 million of them come from Banten.

This figure is considered quite large proportionally to the population and will continue to be optimised to boost regional economic growth.

Meanwhile, the Head of BI Banten, Ameriza M. Moesa, appreciated the Banten Provincial Government’s steps in continuously promoting the digitalisation of public transport facilities, especially on tourism routes.
