Serang Administrative Court Ruling Strengthens Integration of Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Foundation

The Serang Administrative Court (PTUN) has officially closed and concluded case Number 3/G/2026/PTUN.SRG after the Panel of Judges granted the plaintiff’s request to withdraw the lawsuit.

The case previously concerned a lawsuit filed by the Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Foundation against the Decision of the Rector of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Number 909 regarding the Organisational Structure of the School Business Body.

Alwanih, the legal counsel for the Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Foundation, stated that according to information recorded in the e-Court application, the case was declared resolved after the Panel of Judges accepted and granted the withdrawal of the lawsuit submitted by the plaintiff.

“Case Number 3/G/2026/PTUN.SRG has been declared closed and completed. The Panel of Judges granted the request to withdraw the lawsuit filed by the plaintiff, thus ending the examination process of the case,” Alwanich said on Tuesday (9/6/2026).

According to Alwanih, this development is inseparable from changes in the internal governance of the Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Foundation that occurred during the trial process.

In a meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Foundation, an amendment to the composition of the Board of Trustees was agreed upon, appointing the Rector of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta as the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees ex officio, with the Vice Rectors serving as members of the Board.

This change, she continued, further reinforces the position of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta as the legitimate owner of the Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Foundation within the foundation’s structure and governance.

“With the changes to the composition of the Board of Trustees, the position of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta as the legitimate owner of the foundation is further affirmed within the organisational governance,” she added.
