The commerce platform, Mayar, has officially launched its latest product, Mayar Card, an expense management platform providing virtual cards for business owners in Indonesia.

Frianto Moerdowo, Director of PT Mayar Kernel Supernova, explained that Mayar Card is specifically designed to minimise the mixing of business owners’ personal expenses with their business expenditures.

“Recognising the many difficulties in obtaining dedicated debit or credit cards for companies in Indonesia, Mayar realised that this is one of the weaknesses for business owners in expanding their ventures,” said Frianto in a statement on Saturday, 19 September 2026.

Based on this insight, Mayar decided to launch Mayar Card at the beginning of Q4-2027, which can be accessed via the official Mayar website (mayar.id/card).

He explained that entrepreneurs or business owners can use Mayar Card as an alternative to conventional debit or credit cards, featuring clear limits and budgeting systems for each card. Business owners can create multiple virtual cards simultaneously with different purposes and budgets, according to their specific needs.

Transaction reports for every activity on the virtual cards are recorded in real-time. Using personal credit cards for company transactions is considered inefficient and unsafe, both for the cardholder and for the company’s financial management.

Furthermore, Mayar observed that finance teams still face many difficulties during monthly audits, ranging from suspicious transactions outside of company supervision to incomplete transaction histories. This serves as the primary reason why Mayar Card is deemed necessary for every business in Indonesia.

“We hope Mayar Card can be a solution for entrepreneurs who have been using personal credit cards for business payments, making business financial recording easier and more organised,” he added.

Mayar Card will be officially launched at the end of this September. Business owners can directly access the Mayar Card platform through the official Mayar website (mayar.id/card).

A simple, transparent, and secure ecosystem serves as the foundation for Mayar Card. According to Rizki Adiwilaga, Finance Lead at TugasAI, the experience of switching to Mayar Card for business financial management has been significant, evidenced by a 38 per cent decrease in unexpected expenses compared to the period before using Mayar Card.
