According to reports, Noel and ten other defendants have undergone examination as defendants, with the panel of judges scheduling the sentencing hearing for today. “We will reopen the hearing for the defendants on Monday, 18 May 2026, with the agenda being the criminal sentencing from the public prosecutor,” stated the presiding judge, Nur Sari Baktiana, at the Central Jakarta Corruption Court.

The ten other defendants in this case include various officials from the Directorate General of Labour Inspection and OSH, including Fahrurozi, Hery Sutanto, Subhan, Gerry Aditya Herwanto Putra, Irvian Bobby Mahendro, Sekarsari Kartika Putri, Anitasari Kusumawati, and Supriadi, alongside representatives from PT KEM Indonesia, Miki Mahfud and Temurila.

KPK prosecutors have indicted Noel for orchestrating the extortion of OSH certification processing fees in collaboration with several civil servants from the Ministry of Manpower. Prosecutors allege that Noel demanded a share of IDR 3 billion. The indictment alleges that the defendants abused their power regarding the issuance and renewal of individual Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) certifications and licences.

According to the prosecution, the defendants coerced applicants to provide a total of IDR 6,522,360,000 (approximately £320,000). The case dates back to 2021, prior to Noel’s tenure as Deputy Minister of Manpower. Furthermore, Noel is accused of receiving gratifications amounting to IDR 3.3 billion and a navy blue Ducati Scrambler motorcycle. Prosecutors stated that these gratifications were received by Noel from both private parties and subordinates within the Ministry of Manpower between October 2024 and August 2025.
