Former Director of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga (PT PPN), Riva Siahaan, responded after being sentenced to 9 years in prison in a corruption case related to crude oil management. Riva stated that what he did was for the good of the nation.

“God is good, God knows everything, and I did everything for the good of the nation and the country. God knows. I did my job as if I were doing it for God,” said Riva Siahaan after the hearing at the Jakarta Central Corruption Court, Thursday (26/2/2026).

Riva believes that God’s time will reveal the truth in this case. According to him, there are still many facts from the trial that have not been considered.

“And I am sure that there are still many facts from the trial that have not been considered. And God’s time is the best time to reveal the truth. I believe in that,” he said.

Riva admitted that he has no regrets about serving at PT PPN. He said he did his job as if he were doing it for God.

“And I am sure and believe that God is good. And I am sure and believe, one thing I would like to add is that I have no regrets about serving the company where I served,” he said.

In this case, the judge has issued a verdict for Riva Siahaan (RS) as the former Director of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Maya Kusmaya (MK) as the former Director of Marketing Center and Trading of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, and Edward Corne (EC) as the former VP of Trading Operations of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga. The judge stated that Riva, Maya, and Edward were proven guilty of corruption in this case.

  1. Riva Siahaan was sentenced to 9 years in prison and a fine of IDR 1 billion, or 190 days of imprisonment if the fine is not paid.

  2. Maya Kusmaya was sentenced to 9 years in prison and a fine of IDR 1 billion, or 190 days of imprisonment if the fine is not paid.

  3. Edward Corne was sentenced to 10 years in prison and a fine of IDR 1 billion, or 190 days of imprisonment if the fine is not paid.
