Senkom Mitra Polri Holds National Meeting to Align Vision Ahead of 2027 Leadership Transition
The SENTRA Komunikasi (Senkom) Mitra Polri organisation held a National Working Meeting (Rakernas) and Consolidation attended by officials from dozens of provinces across Indonesia. This agenda served as a crucial moment to align the organisation’s future perception, as well as an initial step in preparing for a leadership transition.
In an official statement, the General Chairperson of Senkom Mitra Polri, Katno Hadi, stated that the agenda invited representatives from 38 Indonesian provinces in person (offline). Meanwhile, hundreds of officials at the district/city and sub-district levels followed the proceedings online.
“The Senkom Mitra Polri Rakernas and Consolidation activity invited 38 provinces and secretaries. Meanwhile, more than 490 districts and cities participated online,” Katno Hadi revealed.
Katno explained that a primary focus of this consolidation was to unify the organisation’s vision in welcoming the election of a new General Chairperson of Senkom Mitra Polri, planned for 2027. Through thorough consolidation, it is hoped that all cadres and officials of Senkom, from the central to regional levels, will remain solid and not be fragmented by specific interests.
“Our main agenda is to align our perception for the future of Senkom Mitra Polri, also in the context of facing the General Chairperson election in 2027. Because of that, we all must be solid and not fragmented. This consolidation agenda is natural for an organisation,” he clarified.
Established 22 years ago, Senkom Mitra Polri continues to reinforce its position as an organisation consistently assisting in maintaining public security and order (kamtibmas). Katno explained that Senkom not only partners with the Indonesian National Police (Polri) but also builds strong synergy with various disaster management and national defence agencies.
“Senkom was established 22 years ago as a partner of Polri, then Basarnas, BNPB, and also the Ministry of Defence,” Katno stated.
He noted that Senkom’s main strength lies in its grassroots personnel who are in direct contact with the community, supporting the role of Bhabinkamtibmas in the field. The physical presence of Senkom members is considered most crucial during important national moments.
Senkom Mitra Polri also affirmed its commitment to supporting the national food security programme through the development of maize cultivation in various regions as part of efforts to strengthen national resilience. This commitment was one of the strategic agendas at the Senkom Mitra Polri National Leadership Meeting (Rapimnas) in 2026, held at the Grand Ballroom Minhajurrosyidin, East Jakarta, on Thursday (18/6).
The Rapimnas was attended by representatives of the National Police Chief, the Head of the Security Maintenance Corps (Kakorbinmas Baharkam Polri) Inspector General Pol. Mardiyono, key officials from Police Headquarters, the Advisory Board and Central Board of Senkom Mitra Polri, as well as several partner organisations including KBP Polri, Gema Trikora, FKDB, LDII, PERSINAS ASAD, and FORSGI. The activity was also followed by Chairpersons and Secretaries of Senkom Mitra Polri from 38 provinces both offline and online.
General Chairperson Katno Hadi stressed that food security is currently a critical factor in maintaining national stability. According to him, national resilience does not solely rely on aspects of public security and order, but also on the nation’s ability to ensure sufficient and sustainable food availability.
“Food security is an integral part of national resilience. Sufficient, affordable, and sustainable food availability will create social stability, reduce potential conflicts, and strengthen the community’s resilience in facing various global challenges,” Katno said when opening the Rapimnas.
He explained that since its founding, Senkom Mitra Polri has had three main service clusters: public security and order (kamtibmas), national defence, and disaster management. However, as national challenges evolve, the organisation sees the need to take a broader role in supporting food security programmes as part of strengthening national resilience.
According to Katno, the maize production increase programme initiated by Polri is a strategic step that not only impacts the agricultural sector but also contributes to social and economic stability in the community. As a community organisation with a network reaching the village and sub-district level throughout Indonesia, Senkom Mitra Polri has prepared several concrete measures. These include encouraging member participation in maize cultivation and productive land use, strengthening collaboration with Polri, local governments, farmer groups, and various other stakeholders. Additionally, Senkom will develop community-based maize cultivation pilot models in several regions. The programme is expected to serve as an example of synergy between the community, Polri, and local governments in supporting the realisation of national food self-sufficiency.
Meanwhile, Kakorbinmas Baharkam Polri Inspector General Pol. Mardiyono, attending on behalf of the National Police Chief, expressed appreciation for Senkom Mitra Polri’s contribution over more than two decades in consistently supporting police duties and community service.
“Public security and order cannot be achieved by Polri members alone. Kamtibmas is a shared responsibility requiring the active participation of all elements of society. It is in this context that the existence of Senkom Mitra Polri holds very strategic meaning,” Mardiyono said.
According to him, Senkom Mitra Polri not only acts as an information delivery partner but also becomes part of the community’s strength capable of assisting in the early detection of potential security disturbances, strengthening voluntary security, enhancing social resilience, and contributing to the resolution of various community issues. Mardiyono also emphasised the importance of strengthening synergy between Senkom and Polri down to the regional level through tangible collaboration with Bhabinkamtibmas and the Community Guidance Unit (Satbinmas) of the Resort Police.
