Senior UAE Officials Secretly Visit Israel Amid War with Iran

A senior security delegation from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has reportedly conducted a secret visit to Israel amidst the raging war against Iran. The clandestine mission was carried out as part of ongoing military and security coordination between the two parties.

Citing Middle East Monitor on Wednesday (17/6/2026), Israel’s public broadcaster Kan 11 reported that the delegation held closed-door meetings with military officials in Tel Aviv. The secret meeting was deliberately convened to discuss tactical developments and coordination related to the ongoing armed conflict.

The report revealed that the secret visit took place in the early days of the war launched by Israel and the United States against Iran on 28 February. Several senior Emirati officials reportedly made the official trip to Israel despite the escalating fighting heating up across the Middle East region.

This mysterious delegation reportedly arrived in Israel aboard a commercial Boeing 737 jet specially designed for VIP guests. The aircraft is known to be a facility regularly used by senior members of the ruling royal family of the UAE.

Although the identities of the envoys were kept secret, their arrival reinforces signals of intimate behind-the-scenes cooperation. The meeting focused on aligning security strategies to confront the widening repercussions of the war against the Tehran government.

Last week, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also made a surprising announcement regarding a similar secret diplomatic agenda. The palace claimed that Netanyahu had made a secret trip to the UAE during the war to meet President Mohammed bin Zayed.

However, the unilateral claim from the Israeli side immediately sparked new diplomatic tensions after it was firmly denied by the relevant authorities. The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs officially refuted the statement regarding Netanyahu’s visit and the allegation of a foreign military delegation on their soil.
