Senior Company Executive Found Shot Dead in South Jakarta Luxury Hotel

A man with the initials WH (47) was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head in a hotel room in South Jakarta. Police revealed the victim was a senior executive at a company.

“Yes, he was an official at a company,” said South Jakarta Metro Police Public Relations Head AKP Joko Adi Wibowo when contacted on Friday (17/7/2026).

Joko did not explain in detail the company where the victim worked, nor did he elaborate on the victim’s position within the company.

The victim was discovered by hotel staff on the evening of Wednesday, 15 July 2026. The victim was a guest staying at the hotel.

“This man was a guest at the hotel. He was accompanied by a witness, and upon checking, it was found that he had passed away,” Joko stated.

Joko mentioned that police have so far examined a number of witnesses, including hotel staff and the victim’s driver.

“The witnesses have already been questioned,” Joko revealed.

The victim was found lying in the room covered in blood. There was a wound on the victim’s head suspected to be from a firearm.

“The suspicion is that there was a gunshot wound,” Joko explained.
