Sending Money Abroad Now Easier with Six-Language Support
The increasing mobility of foreign workers in Indonesia is driving demand for more accessible financial services, particularly in remittances, which are now required to be not only fast and efficient but also capable of reaching users from diverse linguistic backgrounds. Responding to this need, remittance platform Topremit has launched four new language options on its application: Mandarin, Korean, Japanese, and Vietnamese. These additions complement the previously available Indonesian and English interfaces. The new feature is designed to help expatriate communities in Indonesia conduct transactions to their home countries without language barriers. By using their native languages, users are expected to understand each stage of the transaction more easily, resulting in a more comfortable application experience. Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Topremit, Hermanto, stated that ease of access is a crucial aspect of remittance services, especially for users from various countries. “For us, the process of sending money abroad should fundamentally be easier and accessible anytime, anywhere,” Hermanto said. He added that the language expansion is part of the company’s effort to deliver more inclusive services while enhancing user comfort in cross-border transactions. Topremit has recorded a steady growth trend in users over recent years. According to internal company data, active users grew by 19.93% from 2024 to 2025. This trend continued into the first quarter of 2026, with the total number of users surpassing 300,000. The company views this growth as reflecting increased public trust, including among expatriate communities, in digital remittance services that offer more practical transaction processes. Beyond expanding language options, Topremit maintains its core features, including fund transfer services abroad with an estimated delivery time starting from five minutes and a flat transfer fee starting from Rp45,000. With this update, the company hopes digital remittance services will become more accessible to the global community living and working in Indonesia.
