Senden extends lead in Tugu Pratama PGA
JAKARTA (JP): Australian John Senden extended his lead by seven shots for a 201 after the third round of the US$250,000 Tugu Pratama PGA Asian Tour at the Bumi Serpong Damai near here.
Tied for second place were Felix Casas of the Philippines and Malaysian Ali Kadir, each with a 209. Two strokes further back was another Australian Glen Joyner alone in third place.
Senden started the day with a bogey, before recovering with three fine birdies on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th. In the 6th he missed shots for a double bogey, then made another bogey in the 9th.
Returning home he shot five birdies against a bogey for a 1- under 71, the worst score he has produced for a three-day round of 207.
Casas, whose score of 5-under par 67 yesterday, was the day's best, shared second place with Kadir (69 70 70). Casas collected Rp 500,000 for producing the best round score.
Frank Nobilo of New Zealand, who ranks among the world's best 20 golfers specially invited by the organizer, carded a 71 for a three-day aggregate of 213.
Yesterday's round saw the disqualification of two golfers, Michael Efferington of Australia and Gary Nicklaus of the United States, for playing against the rules. (rsl).
