<p>Seminar on property rights planned</p><p> JAKARTA (JP): Directorate General of Intellectual Property
Rights is slated to conduct a seminar and a series of other
activities related to intellectual property between April 24 and
April 26 to improve people's awareness on the protection of the
rights.</p><p>Director General of Intellectual Property Rights Zen Umar
Purba said on Thursday the event is a follow-up of World
Intellectual Property International's (WIPO) general assembly
session held in Geneva, Switzerland, in which Indonesia
participated last September.</p><p>Two of WIPO's members, Aljazair and China had proposed April
26 as the world intellectual property day, he said.</p><p>The topics to be discussed at the seminar include law
enforcement on copyrights and three currently endorsed laws on
intellectual property rights, namely the No.30/2000 Law on Trade
Secrecy, the No. 31/2000 Law on Industrial Design and the No.
32/2000 Law on Layout and Integrated Circuits. (01)</p>
