Seminar on hotel business
JAKARTA (JP): The Jakarta chapter of the Indonesian Hotels and Restaurants Association will hold a seminar on March 27 to discuss challenges faced by hotel and restaurant businesses in 2003.
In 2003, trade liberalization policies will come into effect in the Southeast Asian region abolishing almost all non-tariff barriers, chairwoman of the organizing committee for the seminar, Indriani, said yesterday.
The impact of trade liberalization would hamper the Indonesian hotel and restaurant trade if businessmen were not ready for the competition, she said.
She said that the seminar, scheduled to feature businessman Ciputra and psychologist Yaumil C. Achir, was being held to help businessmen anticipate the new challenges they will have to face. (icn)
