Semen Indonesia's Profit Soars 380%
The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BP BUMN) continues to push for stronger performance and competitiveness among state-owned enterprises through sustainable business transformation. These efforts are beginning to yield positive results, notably at PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SMGR).
Head of BP BUMN Dony Oskaria stated that Semen Indonesia recorded a net profit of Rp46 billion in May 2026, representing a 380% increase compared to Rp10 billion in May 2025. On a year-to-date basis through May 2026, SIG also managed to reverse its performance from a loss of Rp5.6 billion in the same period last year to a profit of Rp152 billion, marking a 369% growth.
“This positive performance achievement serves as an important foundation for the company to continue growing healthily and sustainably amidst an increasingly competitive industry dynamic,” he said, citing an Instagram post on Thursday (18/6/2026).
Dony, who also serves as Chief Operating Officer of the Daya Anagata Nusantara Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara), held a meeting with the President Director of SIG on 18 June 2026. The meeting discussed the company’s performance development and various strategic initiatives being undertaken to strengthen its position in the national building materials industry.
“The discussion focused on the development of the business model transformation that has been running since July 2025, improvements in operational efficiency, strengthening of the company’s fundamentals, as well as various measures to enhance SIG’s profitability and competitiveness,” he concluded.
