Semen Indonesia (SMGR) Liquidates Another Business Entity, Bringing Total Closures to Four
State-owned enterprises are beginning to reduce the number of their subsidiaries through liquidation. The latest action was taken by PT Semen Indonesia Tbk (SMGR). The cement producer, in an information disclosure to the Indonesia Stock Exchange on Friday (26/6/2026), explained that it had dissolved and liquidated its subsidiary PT Semen Indonesia Industri Bangunan (SIIB). The company held a 99.99% stake in this business unit. Corporate Secretary of Semen Indonesia Vita Mahreyni stated in the disclosure that the decision had received shareholder approval. βThe Company and PT Semen Indonesia Beton, as shareholders of SIIB (in liquidation), have taken the decision through an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPSLB) of SIIB,β she said. Previously, SMGR had liquidated its subsidiary PT Energi Makmur Agung Sejahtera, which was owned by Semen Padang. In addition, SMGR also closed PT Ciptanugrah Indonesia and PT Aroma Cipta Anugrahtama, which were sub-subsidiaries of SMGR through Solusi Bangun Indonesia. This means the dissolution of business entities has been carried out on four units. Previously, Danantara had planned to cut the number of state-owned enterprises from 1,077 to 200 companies for the sake of efficiency.
