Semen Indonesia (SMGR) Cancels Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders

PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. (SMGR) has announced the cancellation of its Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPSLB) that was planned for 15 July 2026. Citing an official disclosure to the Indonesia Stock Exchange, the cancellation was based on the results of an evaluation and other considerations. The management stated that the meeting, originally scheduled for Wednesday, 15 July 2026, has been called off. The company reported a net profit of Rp46 billion in May 2026, a 380% increase compared to Rp10 billion in May 2025. On a year-to-date basis up to May 2026, SIG reversed a loss of Rp5.6 billion in the same period last year to a profit of Rp152 billion, representing a 369% growth. Dony Oskaria, Chief Operating Officer of the Danantara Investment Management Body, held a meeting with the President Director of SIG on 18 June 2026. The meeting discussed the company’s performance development and various strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening its position in the national building materials industry. The discussion focused on the progress of the business model transformation that has been underway since July 2025, operational efficiency improvements, strengthening of company fundamentals, and various measures to enhance profitability and competitiveness.
