Through several strategic initiatives, SIG was able to maintain profitability, demonstrating the company’s resilience in facing the still-sluggish domestic cement market conditions.

Jakarta (ANTARA) - State-owned enterprise PT Semen Indonesia Tbk (SMGR) or SIG recorded a net profit of Rp190.84 billion in 2025, a 73.48 percent year-on-year (yoy) decline compared to Rp719.76 billion in the same period the previous year.

This net profit achievement was due to the company’s revenue of Rp35.24 trillion in 2025, a slight decrease from Rp36.18 trillion in the same period the previous year.

“Through several strategic initiatives, SIG was able to maintain profitability, proving the company’s resilience in facing the still-sluggish domestic cement market conditions,” said SMGR Corporate Secretary Vita Mahreyni in an official statement in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the cost of goods sold decreased slightly to Rp28.17 trillion at the end of 2025, compared to Rp28.25 trillion in the same period the previous year.

She assured that the company has consistently implemented business transformation since July 2025, focusing on three main strategies: improving micro-market management, cost efficiency, and optimisation of derivative cement products and portfolio.

“These transformation strategies have shown positive results, where in the third and fourth quarters of 2025, SIG’s domestic sales showed improvement, contributing to total sales throughout 2025,” she said.

She continued that the company will continue to maximise regional market potential to maintain positive performance amid the still-challenging domestic cement market conditions.

Furthermore, she is optimistic that the company can continue to maintain growth momentum through several strategic initiatives and innovations, one of which is the development project for a dock and production facilities for cement exports in Tuban, East Java, which is part of a strategic partnership with Taiheiyo Cement Corporation.

“SIG targets to start exporting in mid-2026 from the facility in Tuban, East Java, with a capacity of 500 thousand to 1 million tons of cement per year,” Vita revealed.

In addition to exports, she continued, the strategic partnership with Taiheiyo is also being carried out to develop the soil stabilisation business line.

From the balance sheet perspective, as of 31 December 2025, the company’s total assets were recorded at Rp76.56 trillion, a slight 0.55 percent yoy decrease compared to Rp76.99 trillion at the end of 2024.

Meanwhile, the company’s liabilities were recorded at Rp27.14 trillion, while equity was recorded at Rp47.71 trillion as of 31 December 2025.
