Semarang Prison Chief Receives Numerous Reports Regarding Robig's Control of Drug Circulation from Prison
Convicted in the shooting of a student from SMKN 4 Semarang, Gamma Rizkynata Oktafandy, alias Robig Zaenudin, has been moved from Semarang Class I Prison to Nusakambangan Prison. The transfer was carried out because Robig is suspected of controlling drug circulation from inside the prison.
The head of Semarang Class I Prison, Ahmad Tohari, revealed that before the transfer process to Nusakambangan Prison, his office had received numerous complaints regarding Robig, particularly concerning the alleged control of drugs from within the prison. “At that time, there were many reports from the public about Robig, information regarding drug circulation outside the prison. But it is still suspected,” he said when interviewed on Friday (24/4/2026).
He added that based on this information, his team had conducted a search of Robig’s detention room. However, Tohari claimed that the search process found no evidence of drugs. “The results were nil. No prohibited items were found in his room,” Tohari stated.
In addition to searching the cell, Semarang Class I Prison also conducted a urine test on Robig. “The urine test was also negative,” said Tohari.
He explained that the Central Java Police (Polda Jateng) subsequently followed up on the reports of Robig’s alleged control of drug circulation from inside Semarang Class I Prison. “But whether it is true or not, that is still under process at the Police,” Tohari said.
