Jakarta, VIVA - A joint team from the Narcotics Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya and the Satresnarkoba of Polres Metro Jakarta Barat has dismantled a factory producing the illegal hard drug Zenith Carnophen in Semarang, Central Java, on Friday, 10 April 2026.

Director of Narcotics Crimes at Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier General Police Eko Hadi Santoso, stated that in this bust, police arrested three suspects.

“The joint team successfully secured the drug production factory for Zenith Carnophen,” Eko said in his statement on Monday, 13 April 2026.

Eko explained that the case came to light after police first raided two suspects with initials Bharaka Pradika Mei and L.K. Ngesti at the Grand Asia Hotel in North Jakarta. From that location, officers seized 120,000 Zenith tablets, commonly known as jin pills.

“Further investigation then led to a narcotics recidivist, Joni Tjanjaya, who was arrested in Semarang,” he said.

Subsequently, Eko noted, they raided a warehouse believed to belong to Bharaka Pradika and used as a factory for producing the illegal pills.

From the site, officers seized various raw materials, including 10 drums of carisoprodol weighing 250 kilograms, 32 sacks of hisel weighing 730 kilograms, 26 sacks of talaq weighing 650 kilograms, and nine drums of poviden weighing 225 kilograms.

Police also secured various production equipment, such as a pill press machine, pill printing machine, mixer machine, scales, and other evidence in the form of 186,000 Zenith tablets.

“The total precursor materials seized amounted to 1,855 kilograms,” Eko stated.
