Semarang hosts sprint rally c'ship

SEMARANG (JP): Semarang will host a national sprint rally
championship on Oct. 29 in the Mijen Circuit, an official
revealed on Wednesday.

"National sprinters who will take part are the first to fifth
seeds. They are Rifat Sungkar, Candra Alim,, Aga Kartiwa, Risal
Sungkar, and Arief Indiarto," organizing committee chairman Jim
Sudaryanto told reporters.

"There will be six classes in the championship: Group N, group
A, Group S, jeep, pick up, and GR 2 classes," he added, while
expecting the event to awaken motorsports in Central Java.

Interested racers can register their names until Oct. 20 at
the committee's secretariat at Jl. Gisiksari 1091, Semarang or by
calling the phone number 024-8453732. (har)
