Semarang City Government to Hold Eid al-Fitr Prayer in City Hall Courtyard

The Semarang City Government is preparing to welcome the day of victory by holding the Eid al-Fitr Prayer 1447 Hijriah/2026 CE at the courtyard of Semarang City Hall, Jalan Pemuda No. 148. The imam and khatib for the Eid al-Fitr prayer will be KH Gus In’ Amuzzahidin, M.Ag from Walisongo State Islamic University (UIN Walisongo).

Semarang Mayor Agustina Wilujeng stated that the date of the event will be adjusted according to the results of the Isbat session from the central government, which is scheduled to take place on Thursday evening (19/3).

This annual agenda is held as a momentum to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood between government officials and all levels of society in a solemn atmosphere.

“We invite all Semarang City residents to attend and perform the Eid Prayer together at City Hall. This is a moment for us all to return to purity and strengthen our sense of togetherness as one big family of Semarang residents,” said Agustina Wilujeng in her statement on Thursday (19/3/2026).

The series of events will begin at 06:00 WIB with the Eid al-Fitr prayer and sermon until 07:00 WIB. Afterwards, the activities will continue with a community interaction session or open office until 08:00 WIB, providing an opportunity for the public to engage directly with the mayor, deputy mayor, and Semarang City Forkopimda officials.

“Please come, residents around the city hall or those living in Semarang City, to perform the Eid al-Fitr prayer in the city hall courtyard. I hope this Eid al-Fitr momentum brings blessings and happiness to us all and fosters the spirit to continue building Semarang City to be even greater,” she concluded.
