Semarang City Government Launches SDGs App, Integrating Public Services
Mayor of Semarang, Agustina Wilujeng, officially launched the “SDGs or Semarang dalam Genggaman Saya” app at the peak of the 479th anniversary reception of Semarang City at Pancasila Field, Simpang Lima, on Sunday night, 3 May 2026. This launch represents a concrete step by the Semarang City Government in providing integrated digital-based public services within a single platform. Under her leadership, the Semarang City Government continues to promote the transformation of services to make them simpler, connected, and easily accessible to the public. Through this app, various services ranging from population affairs, health, transportation, to complaints can now be accessed in one integrated system. The launch was carried out symbolically by Agustina along with Deputy Mayor Iswar Aminuddin, the Semarang City Forkopimda officials, and international partners who supported the development of the platform. One of the main innovations in this app is the presence of blockchain-based digital identity through SDGs ID. With this system, the public only needs one identity for various service needs, such as Puskesmas cards, student cards, to public transportation access. “With one digital identity, the public can access various services. This is part of our efforts to build a more modern and integrated system,” said Agustina. In addition, the app is also equipped with the Semarang Virtual Tour feature, which allows the public to explore various corners of Semarang City digitally. The development of this platform received support from the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) as Korea’s cybersecurity authority. At the launch, a representative from KISA, Ms. Kwon Hyuno, was present as a form of international cooperation support in the field of digital transformation. Head of the Semarang City Communication, Informatics, and Encryption Office, Didik Dwi Hartono, emphasised that the presence of the SDGs app is part of the City Government’s commitment to improving the quality of technology-based public services. With this launch, Semarang City further affirms its steps as a region actively promoting digital innovation in government governance. The app is now available and can be downloaded by the public via the App Store and Play Store, making it easier to access services without having to come directly to the office.
