Semarang City Government Launches 2026 Homecoming Information Portal to Monitor Road Conditions
Semarang City Government (Pemkot Semarang) has launched the Info Mudik 2026 portal as a digital information service. This portal helps Lebaran homecoming travellers monitor travel conditions to and through Semarang City more easily.
Semarang Mayor Agustina Wilujeng stated that the portal’s launch represents Semarang City Government’s commitment to enhancing digital-based public services whilst supporting smooth homecoming traffic flow, particularly to Central Java’s capital city.
“Semarang is an important transit hub for homecoming traffic flows along both the north coast and central Java routes. For this reason, we are launching the Info Mudik portal so that people can access travel information quickly, accurately, and easily through a single platform,” said Agustina in a written statement on Thursday (12 March 2026).
Through this portal, residents can monitor traffic conditions in real-time via CCTV networks at various strategic points throughout Semarang City. Additionally, the portal provides other important information such as homecoming route maps, security post and service post locations, healthcare facilities, petrol stations, workshops, and places of worship that travellers can utilise during their journey.
Furthermore, the Info Mudik portal also contains emergency service information, including access to the 112 call centre that the public can use to obtain rapid assistance if they experience emergencies whilst travelling.
According to Agustina, utilising information technology is one of the important steps in supporting smooth public mobility during the homecoming period, which typically sees significant increases in vehicle volumes.
“Through this portal, we want to ensure that people have access to comprehensive information so they can plan their journeys more safely and comfortably. With open and integrated information, it is hoped that traffic congestion potential and travel risks can be minimised,” said Agustina.
In addition to providing travel information, the portal also displays various tourism destination recommendations, culinary options, and souvenir centres located in Semarang City. This is intended to offer alternatives for homecoming travellers who wish to rest whilst enjoying the city’s atmosphere before continuing their journey.
Semarang City Government has urged homecoming travellers to prepare their journeys well, ensure their vehicles are in prime condition, and take advantage of the various information services available through the portal.
With the launch of the Info Mudik 2026 portal, Semarang City Government hopes this year’s homecoming can proceed more smoothly, safely, and comfortably, whilst strengthening Semarang’s role as a friendly transit city for homecoming travellers.
The portal, accessible via https://infomudik.semarangkota.go.id/, serves as a centralised information hub for the public during the Lebaran homecoming period.
